Discover the fascinating world of glass fusing and create your own unique glass artwork! At Glasatelier Chris Rave, we offer three different glass fusing workshops, suitable for both beginners and advanced students. All workshops take place on Fridays and Saturdays in an inspiring workspace with professional guidance.

 

Workshop 1: Make your own window hanging (Beginners)

Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: €60 per person
Level: Beginners

Perfect for those new to glass fusing! In this workshop, you'll create a beautiful round glass window hanger with a diameter of 17cm. You'll receive a clear glass circle that you'll cover with colored glass according to your own design.

Program:

  • Introduction to the world of glass fusing
  • What is glass fusing and how does it work?
  • Create your own design
  • Choose colours from our extensive range
  • Creating your paper under professional supervision

 

Workshop 2: Make Your Own Bowl (Beginners)

Duration: 2.5 hours
Price: €65 per person
Level: Beginners

Duration: 2 hours

Create a beautiful coral bowl by constructing it from pieces of colored glass. This workshop offers a unique technique where you'll learn to work with different glass shapes and colors.

Workshop 4: Basic Course in Traditional Glass Fusing

Duration: 3-4 hours
Price: €80 per person
Level: All levels

The most comprehensive workshop where you'll learn all the basic techniques of glass fusing! In this workshop, you'll not only learn to design but also to cut glass yourself.

Program:

  • Extensive introduction to glass fusing
  • What is glass fusing and what techniques are there?
  • Learn to cut glass - the basics of glass art
  • Design your chosen shape
  • Realize your design with the desired colors

Custom design possible! Do you have your own idea for a shape? We can! For an additional €10, we're happy to create a custom shape for you. This must be discussed in advance so we can prepare the shape beforehand.

Practical Information

Planning & Group Size

  • When: Friday and Saturday
  • Minimum number of participants: 2 persons
  • Maximum number of participants: 6 people

Pick up your thesis

All finished pieces must be fired in the glass kiln. This process takes approximately 24 hours. You can pick up your artwork at a later date, after which it will be fully cooled and ready to take home.

Mini Masterclass Glass Fusing – From mood board to final result

Want to take your glass fusing skills to the next level? During this exclusive Mini Masterclass in Glass Fusing, you'll work on your own glass project in a small, personal setting—from initial inspiration to finished artwork.

With a maximum of two participants , you'll receive intensive guidance in my glass studio in Doesburg . I'll openly and honestly share my working methods, design vision, and technical expertise: from idea and design to glass selection, assembly, and firing schedules.

What are you going to do?

The workshop begins with a mood board that you prepare at home. This will serve as the creative starting point for your design. From there, we'll work step by step towards creating your own glass-fusing piece, approximately 30 x 30 cm , executed in my signature modern style.

Whether you design digitally or prefer to work analog, I will tailor the workshop completely to your way of working.

What can you expect?

  • Intensive guidance in a small group (min. 1 – max. 2 participants)
